National Association of Social Workers MA PACE Endorses Marjorie Decker

The National Association of Social Workers Massachusetts Chapter – Political Action for Candidate Election (NASW MA PACE) has endorsed Marjorie Decker for State Representative to the 25th Middlesex district.  NASW MA Chapter is the largest social work organization in the state with 8,400 social worker members.

NASW’s political action arm endorses candidates with proven commitment to ensuring all people have access to healthcare, basic education, and the opportunity to earn a fair wage. Social workers advocate for policy priorities and legislation that strengthen the social work profession and strengthen the social safety net for vulnerable populations on the local and state level.  During her time as a Cambridge City Councilor and community leader, Ms. Decker has demonstrated a strong commitment to these values and as a result has earned the endorsement of NASW MA PACE.

Marjorie said that she was honored to be endorsed by NASW MA PACE.  “NASW plays a critical role in improving people’s lives and we both are committed to supporting and empowering the most vulnerable among us – often people living on the margins of society,” she said.

Kate Audette, co-chair of NASW MA PACE said, “Marjorie has demonstrated a tireless dedication to the social and economic justice values of social work.  She understands the importance of advocating for policies that address inequality and accessibility. We know as State Representative for the 25th Middlesex district, Marjorie will bring the voices of social workers, families, and communities to the State House. NASW MA PACE is proud to endorse Marjorie Decker".
